Description of farming experience
I graduated grade school in 2016. In 2017, I moved to Wisconsin and participated in the Dairy Grazing Apprenticeship where I learned organic and sustainable practices. I worked on several different farms with large variations in set-up. My preference is to milk in a tie-stall, but I don’t mind parlors either.
I quickly moved into a position of herdsman on a 600 head dairy and lived on site. I ensured the animals were well cared for. I learned everything from starting IVs to tube feeding calves, and more!
I currently live in Baldwin, ME with my partner where we milk two jerseys and sell raw milk locally to the public.

Arrangement description
Unfortunately, I do not have a large amount of money in the bank to buy a farm outright.
I’d love a lease-to-own opportunity where I can learn from the owner regarding animal care and my partner could learn the machinery side.

Additional Information
I am also a licensed electrician and would be happy to barter electrical work towards owning the farm.
This also allows me to run my outside business making 110 an hour to go towards the farm, but also to have time to work on the farm.
I’m also open to the idea of the original farmer staying on site as long as they live.
