Description

Approximately 20 acres of open field for rent to an organic vegetable farmer and/or poultry farmer. 1 year trial lease. $150/acre, but willing to charge lower for first year. Soil rated 3E with 8-15% slope in places. Fields are open but will probably require some rehab for first year.

Former horse farm includes 1000 square foot barn with electricity, water, and hayloft. Barn can store tractors and other equipment and be used as vegetable wash/pack station.  Field near barn has high tensile wire fencing. Other fields have more rudimentary fencing. Lean tos in all fields.  Can discuss use of water for irrigation.

Property borders Swift River. Plenty of parking for vehicles and farm equipment. Farmer must have liability insurance. No housing available. Rental rate does not include use of barn; barn rental to be negotiated separately based on desired use.
