Additional Information

Our 11-acre farm has ~10,000 sq.ft. of heated greenhouses.  Our home is on the property overlooking the business.  Our greenhouses are now used for retail bedding plants in spring (70% of the business income), and wholesale cut flowers in late summer and winter.  The field is used for summer and fall w/s cut flowers and a CSA garden where we grow for 50 member families. We also have mums in the fall for both retail and wholesale.  (These other aspects of the business combined, make up the other 30% of the business income).  The rest of the field is currently being hayed by the neighbor as feed for his cows.  The business, which has been going for 34 years, has a loyal customer base, and is located on a well-travelled road good for business.  The house is farther back from the road, which is nicer for living.  This allows us to keep and eye on the business and to have a beautiful view of the field and the farm across the street, which is, thankfully, under conservation easement.  Half of the greenhouse area has soil in the beds (both ground beds and raised beds) and half has raised display benches.
