Description

We would like to see the property remain a working farm. There is great potential to expand on the cheese & raw milk business as well as increasing the overall diversity of the farm with vegetables and additional animals.

We are selling so we can retire as we are in our mid 60's & without family interested in continuing as a family farm.

The employee house is not part of the sale but can still be rented by an employee. 

35 milking cows in mixed herd of Normandy, Jersey & Holstein & approximately 35 young stock. Enough existing pasture to graze 45-50 cows or additional land can be cleared using pigs, goats or lama's.   90 acres of additional land is  rented in the area for hay prodution.

Additional conventional milk could be purchased locally for increased utilization of the creamery in winter when the cows are on hay, to make a non-organic cheese. (we milk once a day in winter)

Small pork operation (4 pigs) the last 2 years & 35 laying chickens, eggs, pork and dairy, cull beef sold in our farm store which also could be expanded.

We also did a vegetable CSA this last year with potential to expand.
