We are offering a 3-5 year lease opportunity, with right of first offer to buy. Use our equipment to begin your agricultural dream in exchange for help haying and machinery maintenance. Organic since 2017.
The land/buildings to be leased are part of our 216-acre property. We built our home on a contiguous 10+acres of open land at the north end of the property and will continue to live there. Most of the remaining acreage is forested. The potential for agro-tourism and/or a partnership with the nearby nature center is considerable as the farm is only ten minutes from the state capitol, Montpelier, and less than an hour from Burlington.
This farm has only had four owners since the mid1800s. As we move toward full retirement, we are looking for someone who wants to put down roots and care for the land as we have done since 1988, and as Farmer Pease and his sister Ellen did for 50 years before us.
