We’re currently looking for the right person - or team - to lease and steward this special place through a new chapter of regenerative farming and community engagement.
About the Farm:
Forest of Life Farm is located in Andover, Vermont at about 1800 ft elevation. It’s a former cut flower and permaculture teaching farm, with rich soil terraces, two greenhouses (one 36x90 ft and a smaller propagation house), and a wide array of tools and equipment for no-till growing. The smaller greenhouse has a propane heater in place that just needs to be hooked up; otherwise, both houses are unheated. We've grown everything from perennial herbs and peonies to early starts and hearty crops, and the infrastructure is here to support diverse cultivation - from flowers to veggies to medicinal herbs and beyond.
What’s Onsite:
- Terraced beds for no-till or hand-scale farming
- Commercial-size greenhouse (36x90) with good airflow
- Smaller propagation house (with heater ready to be connected)
- Walk-behind tiller and full no-till tool kit (broadforks, tarps, etc.)
- Access to compost and water systems
- Fruit trees, wild edibles, forest edge gardens
- Beautiful views and pollinator-friendly plantings
Housing Possibilities:
We’re finishing a cozy and beautifully designed off-grid tiny house that could be part of the lease, ideal for someone who’s comfortable living simply and close to the land. We're also open to renting out the larger farmhouse to a more experienced grower who may want to anchor a longer-term vision here. We’re flexible and very interested in finding the right fit - someone who values this land and wants to grow something meaningful.
What We're Looking For:
We're not just seeking a renter, but a collaborator. We'd love to work with someone who has farming experience, a passion for regenerative or organic practices, and perhaps an interest in hosting community workshops or classes (which we’re eager to support). Whether you’re a solo grower, a couple, or a small team - if you’re dreaming of deepening your relationship to land and community, we’d love to talk.
We’re also open to co-creating a more cooperative or hybrid model, depending on your vision, experience, and seasonal or long-term plans. This could include profit-sharing, joint workshops, CSA programming, or educational offerings.
