Additional Information

We will be building a new home and moving in early 2019, and would like to sell our off-grid homestead in Cabot to a family interested in this lifestyle, either homesteading or farming for income.  We are neighbors with an organic farm and live in an area very supportive of farming.  We have 29 acres on a quiet dead-end road near Cabot.  25 acres are in forested land use, most of it hardwoods.  Light, open-plan timber frame home with high ceilings, modern wood cookstove and Hearthstone woodstove.  2BR, full bath, and office space upstairs.  Conventionally wired for AC with some DC appliances for energy savings.  Our only utility bills are telephone/internet, an annual propane fill-up, and occasional gas for the generator.  Extensive fertile, raised bed gardens and mature blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, currants and gooseberries, as well as a small mature orchard.  Timber-framed 1.5 story garage/workshop with tall ceilings and lots of natural light.  Cabot is 25 minutes to Montpelier, St. Johnsbury, or Morrisville.  Please visit for extensive description and more photos.
