Additional Information

Description

Halcyon Farm is small-scale regenerative vegetable operation and farm stay B&B on Cape Cod, MA. Located on historic Old Kings Highway in east Brewster it was founded by the current owner in 2009. For the last decade this residentially zoned parcel has been transformed into a fully operational market farm with extensive infrastructure and established markets. These markets have included but are not limited to a 40 member CSA, 2-3 farmers' markets, wholesale and restaurant accounts. The broader land is in exceptional condition with healthy sandy loam soils that have been organically managed for the last decade.  Halcyon's operational approach has been heavily influenced by industry leaders such as Eliot Coleman, JM Fortier and Conor Crickmore.  Their tools, models and philosophy are foundational to the systems currently in place at Halcyon Farm. The property has been thoughtfully and deliberately laid out to maximize growing area while allowing for potential B&B guests to feel welcome, relaxed and free to explore the farm.  Halcyon is surrounded by a wonderfully safe neighborhood and is just off a busy bike trail and historic main street.  An ideal location for potential on-farm sales and general distribution of product.

As stated above any and all reasonable management/lease arrangements will be on the table for discussion.  The current owner is looking to step away from the day-to-day management and is looking for the right individual(s) to push forward Halcyon as a steady and reliable working farm for the community.  This farm is a turn key operation, lacking only a motivated, bright and determined grower to bring the seeds to fruition.
