Land: Home farm is 155 acres which includes 114 acres of open pasture and tillable land. The pastures are set up for grazing the milking herd and include fenced paddocks and lanes. Additional rental land for haying and grazing is available and includes an additional 400+ acres. The farm currently produces all the feed needed for the dairy herd and also has income from crop sales.

Organic Milk Contract:

The organic milk buyer is currently holding farms to a quota or base, and this farm’s current contract is for 2.43 million per year

Conservation Easement:

The farm has a perpetual farmland conservation easement that allows all types of agricultural uses and new agricultural structures. The conservation easement includes the option to purchase at agricultural value. This option allows VLT to purchase the farm at its agricultural value should the buyer (or a future owner) attempt to sell the farm to a non-farmer. There is an existing farmhouse which may be renovated, replaced or enlarged. Additional farm labor housing may be constructed.

There are also two house sites excluded from the conservation easement where a house coulkd be built.
