Additional Information

This property is part of a larger property.  There is the possibility of a total of 150 tillable acres being made available for farming. The conservation easement allows for agricultural and forestry buildings.  There is at least 1 additional, approximately 1/2 acre building lot not bound by the conservation easement.
There may be some option for financing.

This property has been in operation since the early 1800's.  In 2006 we became officially organic. The cows have always grazed the valley floor and enjoyed life in a quiet farming community off the beaten path on a dirt road where the only neighbors are also farmers.  It is a bit like going back in time... almost all the land in this valley is conserved and you won't have houses popping up in the middle of fields.  Actually most of the land in Pittsburg is conserved.  We are the largest landed township East of the Mississippi and 91% conserved with 6 pristine lakes 4 of which are the headwaters of the Connecticut River.

If my husband had not been called before me I'm certain we would be farming still. It is a truly beautiful valley. The colors in Fall are amazing.
