Description

We are a private family that have a small farm building compound just south of Danbury and within an hour and a half of Manhattan. 42 acres of a 52 acre property are forever protected, with agricultural use also protected.
The two fields (one approx 8 acres and one approx 2) are accessible by public roads. There are stone walls everywhere (good for horse pasturing) and sheep and livestock fences have been removed (but can be put in). We do not have easy water to either but there is a pond downhill which is is somewhat dried up in August (depending on weather). We have not fertilized or limed in over 20 years, though even then it was our own manure (horses, chickens etc) We have given up all livestock, so no more manure. We have aging hay equipment (probably un-usable).

We do not anticipate selling the place, but do not have housing or facilities. There is one pole barn near to one of the fields, and probably somewhat temporary barns/storage etc could be erected near the larger one. There are many farm-to-table restaurants nearby and also many farmer's markets.
