Description

This farm has been in the family for over 100yrs.  It was a dairy farm until the 1980's, then it transistioned to haying.  There were livestock on the back fields until about 5yrs ago.  The farm is about 208 acres in total with about 45 acres of farmland (the soil map is attached).  The family is currently living in the stone house but not farming the property.  We are looking for an organic farmer to lease the property.  We are willing to do a 5-10yr lease w/ a 1 yr trial period to make sure it is a good fit for both parties.  This farm is in a prime loacation with 2 access points:  Rt 108 to access the front fields and Long Marsh Rd to access the back fields.  This farm is situated between New Market and Durham, UNH is right down the road and Portsmouth is a 20 min drive.  There is an agricultural easement on the left side of the farm and a wetlands easment on the right side.  I have attached an ariel view to give you an overall picture of the farm land. 

While some of the fields in the back may be too rocky to farm - they are secluded and would be a great spot for a greenhouse.  We have some more pictures/ maps available upon request.
