The owners of a conserved farm in Fletcher are looking for a farmer to lease approximately 25 acres of farmland.

The goals of a successful partnership on the farm are:

Ensuring the farm remains viable into the future producing food or fiber;

Ensuring the farm is well-maintained and used in a productive and sustainable manner;

Establishing and maintaining open communication between the farmer and owners.

Tenure Description

The owners of farm are willing to sign a lease on approximately 25 acres of cropland. The lease rate is negotiable based on the partner and their vision for how the land is to be used. Housing is not currently available on farm, however the farm is located in close proximity to areas with housing available. Equipment including tractors, pickup truck and attachments may be leased at an additional hourly rate. The lease rate does not include utilities. The incoming farmer must maintain insurance.

Property Description

Jarod Waite has owned and operated the conserved Schibi property for six years. He taps the sugarwoods for maple production and the fields are leased out. The property consists of 13 acres of prime rated agricultural soils as well as 46 acres of soils with statewide significance.
