Additional Information

acre farm in Buxton, about a 20 minute drive to Portland, two hour drive to Boston. Former owners raised cattle, kept horses and chickens, had a large garden plot. The past few years, the land has been used for hay/forage. Small stream at edge of field which may be useful for irrigation. About half the acreage is open (pasture) while the remaining acreage is wooded.

like to lease the house/farm for up to five years but will agree to as little as one year. Doesn't necessarily need to be an organic farm, but would prefer limited use of pesticides/herbicides. Land cannot be used for growing marijuana and/or industrial hemp. An ideal use may be keeping/boarding horses but there is sufficient acreage for food crops. Dogs are fine depending on breed (Lab or smaller would work).

The house built in 1820. Three large bedrooms and one smaller bedroom (has been used as a bedroom and a home office in the past). One full bath, one half bath. New flooring and recently painted. Added insulation to the attic with a number of new windows.

Propane heat with possibility of a woodstove. There is also an In law apartment attached to main house. One bedroom, living room, bathroom and kitchen. Gas heat. Tenant responsible for all utilities. Monthly lease for main house, accessory apartment and land is $2,000/month. No sub leasing of accessory apartment.
