Additional Information

Description

Farm has hosted a pature raised livestock operation in the past. A multi-variety 65-tree apple orchard has been established, about 15 acres of fields have been cleared and are growing cover crops and hay. The balance of the property is being managed as a wildlife refuge with habitat for deer, moose, bear, woodcock and turkey. Owner has some hobby livestock.

There is a rental cottage built in 2013 that is approximately 1,100 sqft and currently rents for ~$1,400/month with access to the land and equipment. We seek an experienced farmer/tenant with serious farming interests and the resources to live on-site and farm full-time. The ideal candidates would most likely be a couple with one working off-site and one working as a full-time farmer. Other situations will be considered including gentleperson farmers that are serious workers with the resources to live on the property full-time.

This is a blank slate opportunity for an experienced farm manager to apply their knowledge in farm architecture and planning to setup a first-class farming operation with a mix of crops and livestock. The owner will provide resources to build the infrastructure needed (fencing, shelter, irrigation, etc) while also supplying the necessary tools and equipment. The tenant will maintain the property and design, build and work on a great farm. This is a great opportunity for the right, experienced people looking to do something special that we can all enjoy and participate in making a success, even if success is defined simply as living on a working, productive farm.
