Tenure Arrangement

Property for rent

Property for lease

Looking for a tenant farmer with a lot of experience raising livestock and gardens. Would be an excellent opportunity for a couple that has time and financial resources that wants to homestead. We see this as medium/long-term lease arrangement.
Additional Information

Farm has hosted a pasture raised livestock operation in the past. A multi-variety 65-tree apple orchard has been established, about 15 acres of fields have been cleared and are growing cover crops and/or are being used as sheep/goat/cattle pasture. There are about 7 acres of Adams Loamy Sand and Birkshire Fine Sandy Loam available for growing vegetables. The balance of the property is being managed as a wildlife refuge with habitat for deer, moose, bear, woodcock and turkey. Owner has some hobby livestock (sheep & goats).

There is a rental cottage built in 2013 that is approximately 1,100 sqft and is for rent with access to some land and equipment. We seek an experienced tenant farmer with the resources to live on-site and farm and utilize the property full-time. The ideal candidates would most likely be a couple with one working off-site and one working as a full-time farmer or a retired couple, both with farming interests.

This is a great opportunity for the right, experienced people looking to do something special that we can all enjoy and participate in making a successful and productive farm. Let's look at your plans and share expectations.
