Additional Information

Description

Only 20 minutes from Belfast or Camden sits a quiet country farm spot on top of a hill in Searsmont with breathtaking views. The updated farmhouse and barn are from the 1800's and continuing to be upgraded. The farmhouse offers 3 available bedrooms, with common living areas, as well as an attic style bunk room that will sleep 7. The 4 out of 50 acres that are suitable for farming and pasture surround the house and barn. It has not been farmed in years but has been bushogged several times in recent years. Looking for a farmer who would like to lease 1-4 acres for farming, working our land and building the soil. Possibly as a profit share. We have some capital to help begin the process this Fall 2017. We would like to see the following in this venture: organic and sustainable practices on the land, vegetables, herbs, and grains highly of interest, opportunities to work together and learn, permaculture practices, quality peace-abiding environment. We are a loosely knit earth centered, spiritual community with some folks living on the property. The long term interest is to create a small spiritual destination and wellness retreat center to include farming practices, farm to table events, bees, livestock and intentional living, with possible other housing structures on the land. The barn is a majestic center suitable for holding classes, to storing equipment, to raising worms, mushrooms, etc.

*no cannabis operations or non-organic practices
