Description

Looking for individual to assume sugarbush management role and work alongside existing employees. Potential to transition to lease arrangement and/or ownership. Good mechanical skills—forestry, chain saw and sugaring experience required. Needs high executive function and communication skills to efficiently organize resources and optimize production. Must have high integrity and be a committed steward of the land. Working knowledge of computers.

The job is 90% maple syrup production including selective thinning of forests and 10% property management for homeowner residing on property. 

Responsibilities to include:

· Executing Forest Management Plan

· Tapping and syrup production responsibility

· Maintaining woods roads and open fields

· Purchasing, operation, and maintenance of sugaring and farm equipment and buildings

· Managing employees

A competitive salary will be offered based on experience and includes health insurance benefits. A successful candidate will have an opportunity to lease and/or own the sugarbush.
