Winterfound farm was founded in the late 1700s and was our family's primary residence in the early 90's to 2000's.  With many grandkids to visit, our mother is retiring from 30 years of keeping sheep as a hobby and caring for the occasional retired horse. The family would love the farm to contribute to the local farming community.  We are committed to environmental stewardship and supporting small farmers.

The property is beautiful and was well loved by our family. A swimming pond with a dock, a network of wooded trails, sweeping views and a vibrant local community all contribute to the value and character of this property. While we don't want to sell the farm, rather than see the infrastructure decline in disuse, we would like to see it contribute to a farmer's livelihood.

We are flexible and amicable, we understand the realities of a farming career and farming operations, and want to make a partnership work for the right people. While permanent housing is currently not available, there are many good sites for non-permanent housing, other local options, and a rustic cabin up the mountain accessible with 4-wheel drive. The house, built in 1794, will be occupied by our very sweet mother.

Our goals are to see the fields in use, the infrastructure maintained, and some life breathed into a beautiful old farm.
